8 Track Austin is Manor Road's newest neighborhood bar and restaurant.
The concept got it's start as a passion project between a group of local friends. They fell in love with the neighborhood and developed a concept that they believe will embody the vibe that the neighborhood already has going. The friends combined their unique skill sets in hospitality and development to embark on the vision for this up and coming area.
Once a mechanic shop, the structure of the building was kept in tact while an adaptive reuse transformed the exterior facade and interior layout into a bad ass bar concept. The building is approximately 6000 square feet with a covered patio (adorned with big ass fans to keep you cool on those hot Austin summer days). On the patio, you'll find a number of activities to keep you busy such as corn hole, ping pong, and the ol' classic, hula hooping. The patio tables are authentic Bavarian beer garden tables and there's a giant mural of Steve Prefontaine - always out there watching the action.
As you enter the building , a self service window will boast a menu of Chef Blake Keely's latest and greatest creations. Keely has been cooking in Austin for over 18 years. In that time, he has been Executive Chef of Roaring Fork, The University of Texas Club and Benji's Cantina. Tanner Gill will act as Chef de Cuisine and oversee the kitchen day to day. Gill is returning to Austin after a five year stay in Miami where he was Executive Chef of Uvaggio Wine Bar.
The menu is an eclectic mix of old school favorites with a new school twist. Key players on the menu are Crab Cake Corn Dogs, Hot Smoked Salmon Naan, and Giant Pork Schnitzel. The full menu is available on our website or on our Facebook page.
Past the food service window, you'll enter into a center bar with full spirits, local beer and a handful of craft cocktails. On the far wall of the space, you'll have the opportunity to get your inner Larry Bird on with four custom Pop a Shots (don't be shy about your high score cause we've got big prizes for winners). A second ping pong table inside affords you the luxury of escaping the Texas heat and is accompanied by boomerang air hockey.
With over 150 parking spots available after 5pm on weekdays and all day Saturday and Sunday, you might have 99 problems but a spot ain't one. Look forward to parking lot festivals ranging from weird, to weirder.
